Registered Nurse position at New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) in Bronx, NY. Hours are 5/8.5 hour shifts, Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm. Responsibilities include administering chemotherapeutic and biologic agents, recognizing and treating cancer-related and treatment-related issues, monitoring and charting vital signs, collaborating with healthcare professionals, participating in cancer research trials, providing supportive resources to patients and caregivers, educating patients about treatment expectations and follow-up care, and monitoring patient status during administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive medications.

Requirements

  • New York State RN License
  • Valid New York State RN License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with an EMR (preferred)
  • Knowledge of standard precautions and ability to utilize appropriate PPE when administering cytotoxic agents and handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids
