Schedule

Day shift + rotating on-call Location: Unalaska, AK (Relocation Required)

Role summary

Provide professional nursing care to patients of all ages, including after‑hours urgent and emergent needs. Work independently, think critically, and deliver excellent customer service in a rural medical setting.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess, triage, and care for patients across the lifespan
  • Develop and implement patient care plans
  • Administer medications & therapeutic measures
  • Assist with emergency/urgent care procedures
  • Maintain aseptic technique and safe environments
  • Perform dispensary duties
  • Document all nursing interventions accurately
  • Participate in trainings, meetings & community events
  • Support clinic operations (cleaning, stocking, equipment care)

Required skills & knowledge

  • Strong clinical assessment & triage skills
  • Ability to respond to urgent and after‑hours calls
  • Knowledge of medications, medical equipment & care procedures
  • Excellent communication & teamwork abilities
  • Ability to obtain IV/IO access

Licenses & certifications

  • Alaska RN License (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
  • BLS – Required
  • ACLS, PALS & TNCC – Required within 6 months of hire

Education & experience

  • Accredited Nursing Program (BSN, Diploma, or ADN)
  • 2 Year nursing experience – Required
  • ER/Critical Care – Preferred
