Summary
Emergency nurses collaborate with physicians and radiologic technologists to promote and restore patient’s health by decisively assessing, intervening, and stabilizing a variety of trauma and illnesses in patients of all ages. The emergency nurse is integral in providing physical and psychological support to patients, facility visitors and team members. Due to the range of medical conditions that may require urgent treatment and care the emergency nurse must be knowledgeable about general as well as specific health issues. Licenses required.

Required: Associate degree or greater in nursing. Required: Completed required education to obtain state licensure as a registered nurse.

Summary of
Duties

Works as part of a healthcare team to perform required patient interventions including assessing patients’ needs, planning, and modifying care, implementing interventions, etc. Provides consistent outstanding service to all patients, facility visitors, and team members. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by participating in continuing education, reviewing professional publications, and involvement in professional societies as required by licensing board.
Maintains appropriate par levels of inventory within the facility by monitoring and reporting inventory supply to appropriate personnel.

We also own and operate a freestanding emergency center in San Antonio, TX, and are partnered with Dignity Health Arizona General Hospital to provide ER physician and APP staffing for their two hospitals and 12 satellite EDs. The Emergency Center is a drug and nicotine-free workplace, and all employees will be required to complete a negative drug screen prior to employment.
