Charge Nurse

The Charge Nurse is responsible for leading and supporting nursing staff in the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant patient care. This role includes clinical mentorship, documentation oversight, and coordination of staff assignments based on patient needs. Essential functions include routine audits for documentation compliance in Cerner and UDS, identifying educational needs among nursing staff, serving as a clinical mentor, supporting patient and family education, providing UDS documentation/orientation training for newly hired licensed nurses, conducting remediation sessions, participating in CQPI efforts, ensuring patient safety, and assisting with nursing staff assignments based on patient acuity and staff competency.
