The Crawford County Health Department is seeking a part-time (8.5 to 20 hrs/wk) and PRN Public Health Nurse positions responsible for comprehensive public health nursing services that promote the health and well-being of Crawford County residents.
Professional experience with children, immunization administration, phlebotomy, and WIC Program preferred.
Position Description
Essential functions of this position are as follows
Administers the following
duties
- Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program
- Better Birth Outcomes
- Immunizations (Infant, Childhood and Adult)
- TB screenings
- Lead Poisoning Prevention
- Cardiovascular monitoring
- Specimen collection (urine, blood, buccal swabs, nasal swabs)
- Collects data
- Develops and implements an individual plan of care for each client based on assessment and nutritional need
- Refers clients to appropriate programs as needed
- Investigation and reporting of infectious diseases
- Attends meetings and conferences as directed
- Maintain confidentiality of all client records
- Perform other duties as required or assigned

- Current Illinois Registered Nurse License;
- Current CPR certification;
- Certified Lactation Counselor preferred, but not required;
