Registered Nurse position on the Medical/Surgical unit (2 South) at NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk. The successful candidate executes professional nursing care in accordance with physician treatment plans to provide for the comfort and well-being of patients and their family or support system. Assesses patient needs, plans and implements treatment plans, observes and evaluates patient progress, and documents pertinent observations. Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary health team to meet holistic patient needs. Directs delivery of nursing care by other members of the nursing team. Day shift 7a-7:30p, alternate weekends.

Requirements

Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through completion of a two year training at an accredited School of Nursing
Current New York State license as a Registered Professional Nurse
BLS certification (through AHA)
De-escalation training
ACLS certification (through AHA) for ICU, Float pool, Emergency Dept
TCAR Certification for SICU, PACU
PALS and TNCC within first year for Emergency Dept
CPI and BERT training within first 6 months for Behavioral health RNs
