About this role

Manages patient care infusion encounters by utilizing a systematic approach to nursing practice that includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. This includes collaborating with multidisciplinary hematology/oncology care team members, along with internal and external ancillary partners, in a fast-paced environment. Dedicated to the growth and development of the Allina Health Cancer Institute, incorporating evidence-based practice initiatives that align with ONS, NCCN, COC, and organizational standards of care.

Requirements

  • MN Board of Nursing
  • Associate's or Vocational degree in Nursing
  • 1+ years of ambulatory oncology RN experience with proficient IV insertion skills; or 3+ years inpatient chemotherapy/biotherapy infusion or ICU experience
  • Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing
  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Allina in-house BLS training within 30 days of hire)
  • ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Provider Card required within 30 days of hire
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) must be obtained within 3 years of hire (before April 1, 2024) or within 30 months (on/after April 1, 2024)
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred)
  • 1+ years Peripheral IV Insertion skills (preferred)
