This role is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operations of the Nursing Services Department in our Assisted Living community.
The goal of this position is to ensure that tenants receive the highest level of appropriate care and services in a safe, respectful, and resident‑centered environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee all resident care and wellness programming within the assisted living community.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized service plans (ISPs) for residents.
Supervise and train care staff to ensure adherence to company policies and state regulations.
Perform regular assessments, documentation, and communication with physicians and family members.
Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Monitor medication administration and ensure accuracy and compliance.
Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24/7 clinical support as needed.
Foster a positive, team-oriented culture that supports resident dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Qualifications
Active RN license in the state of Iowa (required).
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in assisted living, long-term care, or a related setting (preferred).
Strong knowledge of state regulations and assisted living standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Compassionate approach and commitment to serving older adults.
Schedule
Full-time, primarily daytime hours with flexibility as needed.
On-call responsibility 24/7 for clinical oversight (shared coverage may be arranged).
