Troy, perched along the Hudson River just north of Albany, blends storied Victorian architecture with a lively college-town energy fueled by RPI and Russell Sage College. Its historic downtown offers a year-round farmers market, eclectic dining, and arts venues—giving out-of-state RNs a compact, character-rich place to land within the Capital Region.

What we can stand behind right now is mainly the place on the map: the employer is tied to that town and state, not to a long list of published unit or pay details. Pay from our postings is not…

Med surg is open from year one. A broad first base while you learn which path pulls harder.

Worth asking

We can’t answer these from the listing we have. Good ones to ask a recruiter or in the interview.

  • Can you walk me through differentials?
  • What should I expect for weekly hours, weekend, holiday, call, and rotation?
  • What preceptor time and ongoing unit support are included?
  • How are patient load, floating, and staffing support handled day to day?
