Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Sep 6, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 3 American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU Days position requiring cardiac critical care and open heart recovery experience.
Details Work in the Cardiovascular ICU of a hospital environment 8-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3 Patient population includes post-surgical management for cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, thoracotomies, TAVRs, and post-complex PCI interventions Involves post-open heart and post-cardiac procedure care, including central line, arterial line, and chest tube placements Uses Edwards and GE monitoring systems along with Swan-Ganz catheters Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15 13-week assignment Requirements Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand BLS certification (AHA) required ACLS certification (AHA) required Minimum 2 years of critical care or cardiac critical care experience required Open heart recovery and post-cardiac procedure recovery experience required Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to post-surgical cardiovascular patients Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility Must have a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address COVID-19 vaccination is not required
