A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who excels in this role

Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Assists patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility. Measures and records vital signs, intake and output, and patient observations.

Reports changes in patient condition promptly to the nursing team. Assists with patient transfers, repositioning, and ambulation while maintaining patient safety. Maintains a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment.

Supports nurses and other healthcare team members in delivering quality patient care. Assists with stocking supplies and maintaining unit readiness. Documents care provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.

Licensure Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required. Certifications AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Handle with Care certification preferred.

Advanced diagnostic imaging services include MRI, CT, PET/CT, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, and X-ray. Highpoint Health – Sewanee with Ascension Saint Thomas, located on the campus of the University of the South, is a 41-bed facility offering 21 general acute care beds and 20 skilled nursing beds.
