About Serenoa

Serenoa Medicine is a new outpatient mental health clinic in Miami offering IV ketamine therapy, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, and Spravato (esketamine) for adults living with depression and other mental health conditions. Our care team includes a supervising physician medical director, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, and an in-house behavioral coach who supports patients before, during, and after treatment. We’re building a calm, unhurried clinic where patients feel safe and staff have time to do their work well.

The Role

We’re hiring two per diem RNs to join our founding clinical team. You’ll be the hands-on clinical presence during treatment sessions: placing IVs, monitoring patients, and helping them feel steady and cared for throughout.

Schedule

  • Weekday daytime shifts on our clinic days (e.g., Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am–5pm)
  • Guaranteed minimum of one shift per week, with more available as the clinic grows
  • No nights, no weekends, no holidays
  • Works well alongside a hospital schedule

What You’ll Do

  • Start peripheral IVs and administer ketamine infusions according to clinic protocols
  • Monitor vital signs, level of consciousness, and patient comfort throughout treatment and recovery
  • Monitor Spravato patients per REMS requirements
  • Recognize and respond to adverse effects, including blood pressure changes, nausea, and anxiety, and escalate to the provider as needed
  • Provide a calm, reassuring presence for patients in altered states of consciousness
  • Assess patients for safe discharge and review aftercare instructions
  • Document accurately in our EHR

What We’re Looking For

  • Active, unrestricted Florida RN license
  • Experience in ED, ICU, PACU, infusion, or procedural sedation
  • Strong, confident IV skills
  • Current BLS required; ACLS required or obtained within 30 days of hire
  • Calm under pressure and comfortable supporting people who are emotionally vulnerable
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule
  • Ketamine experience is not required. We provide full training on our protocols.

Nice to Have

  • Psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience
  • Experience with ketamine, Spravato, or psychedelic-assisted therapy
  • Spanish fluency
  • Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
  • Expected hours: No less than 8.0 per week
  • Work Location: In person
