Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a Men’s Sexual Health Clinic is responsible for providing compassionate and professional nursing care to male patients seeking treatment for sexual health concerns, such as erectile dysfunction. The LPN assists with patient assessments and supports the physician in delivering treatment plans and medications. This role involves working closely with male patients, ensuring confidentiality and sensitivity while delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities

Assist with initial patient assessments, including taking vital signs, completing a physical, and reviewing patient history. Perform routine diagnostic tests and nursing procedures such as blood draws, injections and following established protocols and guidelines. Administer treatments and medications under the supervision of a physician.

Prepare and assist the physician with in-office procedures related to men’s sexual health. Accurately document patient interactions within the patient chart. Ensure compliance with all medical documentation standards.

Maintain a clean, safe, and sterile environment within the clinic by following proper control protocols, including the sanitizing patient areas. Ensure all interactions with patients adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information. Assist in daily operations of the clinic, including managing patient flow and collaborating with other team members to optimize patient care.

Adhere to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures.

Job qualifications and

Skills

Graduate of an accredited LPN program. Current LPN license in the State. 3+ years of nursing experience.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to discuss sensitive topics with professionalism and empathy. Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality of care. Compassionate and non-judgmental attitude towards patients and their healthcare needs.

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient privacy. BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Motivated go-getter type of person. Able to listen, identify a need, and offer a solution to a potential patient. Computer literate with data entry skills.
