Champaign-Urbana is a prairie Big Ten twin city whose draw is a research university colliding with Midwestern prices and almost no traffic. For a nurse, Carle Health and OSF are the hospital anchors; Stone Creek in southeast Champaign sits a short drive from Carle, while Urbana, Savoy, and Mahomet report roughly ten-minute family-suburb commutes.
