Position Description

The Cardiac Quality Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and improving the quality of care provided to cardiovascular patients across the continuum of care. This position oversees compliance with national cardiovascular quality standards, analyzes clinical outcomes, facilitates performance improvement initiatives, supports accreditation and certification programs, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes, patient experience, and population health.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing RN, BSN preferred.
  • Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in Louisiana
  • CPHQ certification preferred
  • 3-5 years clinical experience, preferably in the Telemetry or Critical Care areas working with identified patient population and discharge planning of this population.
  • Demonstrates leadership ability
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with computer applications including Microsoft Office and/or other database management systems preferred.
  • Performance improvement or patient safety knowledge and experience preferred.
