Responsibilities
Provide primary care services to patients of all ages, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- Prescribe medications and treatments
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as medical imaging or laboratory tests
- Develop and implement care plans for patients with chronic conditions, such as dementia or cardiac issues
- Provide family planning services, including contraceptive counseling and prescribing birth control methods
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, such as discharge planning or referrals to specialists
Qualifications
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice
