Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and ongoing reassessments for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in the ED
- Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret results to guide care decisions
- Prepare, administer, monitor, and discontinue IV fluids and medications as indicated by the patient’s condition
- Maintain accurate and complete nursing documentation, including histories, diagnoses, treatments, responses, and changes in status
- Respond promptly to emergencies with professional, timely actions and coordinate with the care team as needed
- Uphold age-appropriate care practices and comply with professional and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Emergency Department nursing experience in an acute care setting
- Ability to perform age-appropriate assessments and provide care across the lifespan (pediatric to geriatric)
- Proficiency in IV therapy, medication administration, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Strong nursing documentation skills and adherence to policy
- Ability to work nights in a travel assignment
- Meet licensure, certification, and ongoing education requirements as directed by local regulatory guidelines
