Position Summary
Penda Aiken Inc. is hiring two full-time RNs for a New York State Agency in Brooklyn. These roles provide clinical care, health assessments, and medical case management for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential or community care setting.
Primary Responsibilities
Assessments: Conduct physical exams, take vital signs, and update health histories.
Care & Treatments: Administer prescribed medications, perform clinical treatments, and build individualized nursing care plans.
Monitoring: Track health changes, document symptoms, and report adverse drug reactions.
Oversight: Train and guide LPNs and direct care staff on daily medical protocols.
Coordination: Coordinate care and medical follow-ups with families and outside specialists.
Minimum Requirements
License: Active, unrestricted New York State RN License and Registration.
Experience
Prior clinical nursing experience (experience with developmental/intellectual disabilities is highly preferred).
