Lincoln Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Obstetrics department in a full-time 13 week contract position.

The basic purpose of this position is to manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and health system policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

  • Assesses and diagnoses patient and family needs to provide quality care to assigned patients.
  • Develops, discusses, and communicates a realistic plan of care for each patient, in collaboration with each patient/significant other in order to address all identified needs.
  • Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to implement obstetrical plan of care, nursing interventions, and procedures, teaching of and communication with patient and support person(s).
  • Evaluate the identified problems, care provided, and patient's responses are reassessed to meet patient and family needs and assure overall quality of care delivered.
  • Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to endure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team, to ensure quality care.
  • Performs all responsibilities/duties required by the birthing unit/parent/child division as defined in the scope of service, to endure that the unique nature of the client is addressed.

  • Full-time
  • Rotating Weekends
  • Sunday - Saturday
  • 6:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
  • 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.

  • State of Tennessee licensure (or eligible) as a Registered Nurse
  • ACLS required
  • Previous experience in labor and delivery required
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour

  • Work Location: In person
