Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for critically ill adult patients in the ICU, including ongoing assessment and monitoring of vital signs and hemodynamic status
- Manage ventilator support, medications, and sedation per protocol; respond rapidly to deteriorating conditions
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
- Perform and document clinical care activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards
- Adhere to infection control practices, safety protocols, and patient-identification procedures; educate patients and families as appropriate
Requirements
- Active Colorado Registered Nurse license
- BLS certification
- PALS certification required
- One year of critical care/ICU experience preferred
- Ability to work a 3×12-hour night shift in an ICU setting
- CAPS registration may be required to work in Colorado; processing may take up to two weeks
- Travel assignment eligibility and ability to work in the listed state and setting
