As an Assistant Director of Hospice Nursing, here’s a big-picture view of
what you’ll do
Oversee the delivery of clinical and caregiver services, ensuring the highest quality of patient/client care in accordance with Hospice laws and regulatory standards Coordinate and manage a team of nurses, therapists, CNAs, aides, chaplains, and social workers to ensure client and patient standards are met. Hire, orient, train, supervise, and retain qualified clinicians, supportive services, and caregivers Ensure medical supplies/equipment are delivered, and staff are trained on care procedures Assess patient/client needs, resolve issues, and ensure a high level of satisfaction Effectively manage financial resources related to the delivery of quality patient/client care Participate and help lead interdisciplinary meetings of the Hospice team and care coordination.
A few must-haves for an Assistant Director of Hospice Nursing
Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN or BSN license in Minnesota Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in Hospice At least 1 year of supervisory and caregiver management experience CPR certification Extensive knowledge of state and federal Hospice laws and regulatory standards Excellent management, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
