About this role

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Gynecology Oncology Nurse Navigator provides patient management, care coordination, and disposition planning for cancer patients. Assists Veterans, family members, and caregivers with receiving appropriate options and services to meet complex health care needs. Coordinates care with multiple providers across all levels and sites of care, ensuring continuity of care within VA and community programs. Provides oversight of the patient's journey through the diagnostic and treatment continuum, following select patients from earliest suspicion of cancer through diagnosis, treatment, survivorship/surveillance, or palliation/end of life.

Requirements

  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in a State, Territory, Commonwealth, or District of Columbia
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in a State, Territory, Commonwealth, or District of Columbia
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing accredited by ACEN or CCNE
  • English Language Proficiency
  • Background/security investigation
  • Drug screening (urinalysis)
  • Pre-employment physical examination
  • Seasonal influenza vaccination
