Medical Assistant

University Dermatology Group in San Diego, CA, seeking motivated back office medical assistants. Gain 1,600+ hours of direct patient facing experience. Work side by side with board certified physician, physician assistants, and registered nurses. Master EHR workflows, medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and insurance fundamentals. Core responsibilities include guiding patients through medical history, taking patients' history with EHR, scribing notes, assisting in biopsies and surgeries, answering patients with lab results, calling pharmacies, sterilizing instruments, organizing patient rooms, and upholding HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
