We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse in Emergency Department (RN ED) to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive clinical expertise, strong critical thinking skills, and a passion for delivering compassionate care. As an RN ED, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examinations to determine immediate needs.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, including IV infusions, injections, and medication management following established protocols.
- Utilize advanced skills such as airway management, suturing, and sterile technique to address urgent medical situations.
- Monitor patients closely using telemetry and other monitoring systems to detect changes in condition promptly.
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists on diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory testing, imaging (CT, sonography), and trauma assessments.
- Document all patient interactions comprehensively within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families during critical moments of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with NCQA standards and infection control protocols to enhance patient safety.
Requirements
- Valid RN license with current state registration or licensure in good standing.
- Proven experience working in emergency medicine or Level I/II trauma centers with exposure to acute care procedures.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to emergency care settings.
- Critical care experience including ICU or trauma medicine is highly desirable.
- Skills in advanced airway management, IV insertion, venipuncture, and aseptic technique required.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health patients, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to perform under pressure in high-stress situations while maintaining professionalism and compassion.
