Overview Under the general supervision of the Nursing Director or Assistant Nursing Director provides direct nursing care to patients.
Operating room
Full-Time 7am – 7:30pm Responsibilities 1.* Incorporates relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care. 2.* Communicates with patients, colleagues and management in accurate, considerate and timely manner (written, verbal and electronic).
- * Employs critical thinking skills to achieve outcomes and solve problems.
4.* Engages in caring relationships that integrate the influence of the human experience of health, illness and/or healing, and relationship-based care. 5.* Manages assignment and material resources effectively. 6.* Applies leadership skills consistent with role and experience. 7.* Incorporates teaching in the delivery of care to promote health and prevent disease and documents when appropriate. 8.* Integrates relevant knowledge and evidence-based practice (utilizing teamwork and collaboration). 9.* Provides specialty-specific care as outlined by Maimonides Medical Center.

Education
Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing school required; BSN preferred. Current NYS licensure as RN required. Current BLS certification required.
Experience
Professional nursing experience appropriate to the service and the position. 1-2 yrs. Med./Surg. experience preferred. 1 year OR experience preferred. Experience in Procedural area preferred.
