About this role
Lakeview Center provides comprehensive behavioral health care to adults and children with mental illnesses, drug and alcohol dependencies and intellectual disabilities. The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) serves as an acute-care inpatient psychiatric facility for persons with mental health or co-occurring disorders from Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. The CSU is a 24-hour continuous operations unit that serves voluntary clients as well as individuals admitted under the Baker Act or Marchman Act. Primary duty is the performance of work requiring advanced knowledge (License), and to use such advanced knowledge to consistently exercise discretion and independent judgment in providing the highest quality client-centered therapeutic services to mental health, substance abuse, or developmentally disabled clients. Must also serve as a consultant and mentor to other medical/non-medical direct care employees. Services include assessment, treatment planning, direct service provision, person centered services and management of client risk and safety.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited nursing school
Valid license as a Registered Nurse in Florida
CPR Certification
BLS Certification
Ability to perform client/patient behavior management techniques (CPI)
Ability to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services
Pass organization screening requirements including state or federal background screenings
Level II background screening required
