Director of Nursing

About the Role

As a Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our nursing department, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and attention. Your expertise and leadership will help shape our nursing strategy, drive patient satisfaction, and foster a culture of excellence among our nursing staff.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of nurses, including scheduling, payroll, and performance evaluations

Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

Collaborate with other departments, including therapy, social services, and dietary, to ensure seamless care coordination

Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and training to nursing staff to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction

Develop and manage budgets and resources to ensure effective allocation of nursing services

Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of quality metrics and benchmarks

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field; Master's degree preferred

Minimum 5 years of experience in nursing leadership, with a focus on rehabilitation and acute care settings

Current RN license and certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., CRRN, CNA)
