The Special Procedures Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct care to patients undergoing treatments and procedures in Cath Lab and the Special Procedures unit.
Collect specimens for testing. Assist physician during procedure. You will maintain and stock Special Procedure area. Be a resource for Surgical Scheduling relative to bookings. Provide relevant and complete documentation on patient related activity. Educate patient and family related to procedure, medications, follow-up home care. Assume responsibility to stay current with available training and/or literature to ensure quality patient care in Special Procedures.
What qualifications will you need
RN VA License or Multi-state Compact License Basic Cardiac Life Support BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date Associate Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred
