Position Summary

The Certified Nurse Practitioner assumes responsibility for the care provided to a selected number of patients. Consideration is given to the patient’s stage of development according to life cycle. The Certified Nurse Practitioner assists in functions related to the diagnosis and treatment of patients under the supervision of an attending physician within the hospital. The Certified Nurse Practitioner is an expert clinician that works within a collaborative model to provide quality care and to improve patient outcomes by strengthening continuity of care in all settings for Cardiology patients, families and staff. Will consider a Physician Assistant. Qualifications Education Required

Must complete in-house orientation program
Master's degree program designed to prepare a NP to diagnose, treat, and prescribe for a patient’s condition that fall within their specialty area of practice or the successful completion of an approved supplemental education program, i.e., post-Masters NP certificate. (OR PA Bachelor's /Master's degree)
