Responsibilities
- Deliver and coordinate nursing care for telemetry patients within Med Surg/Telemetry, following the plan of care.
- Assess patient status, monitor vitals and laboratory data, administer medications and therapies as ordered, and respond to changes in condition.
- InterpretTelemetry monitors and manage cardiac drips; recognize arrhythmias and implement appropriate protocols.
- Provide care for adult and geriatric patients, including perioperative and post-surgical considerations as applicable.
- Maintain professional nursing standards, ensure patient safety, infection prevention, and accurate documentation.
- Supervise CNAs/SNAs or other health care workers as assigned and collaborate with the health care team to optimize patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse license at time of submission.
- Minimum 4 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience.
Certifications
Bls/cpr (aha), ACLS, nihss.
- Current IL Nurse Agency Certificate documentation (copy required in travel submission).
- Fully COVID-19 vaccinated.
- Experience with reading monitors, cardiac drips, post-surgical care; comfortable caring for adult and geriatric patients.
