Optima Care Harborview is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to help lead our nursing department. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Registered Nurse with long-term care experience who is committed to clinical excellence, team development, and delivering exceptional resident care.
Key Responsibilities
Promote a safe, supportive environment that prioritizes high-quality resident care
Lead, mentor, and supervise nursing staff to ensure clinical excellence and best practices
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous professional growth
Serve as a key liaison between nursing staff and facility leadership
Address clinical and unit-related concerns in a timely and effective manner
Oversee and participate in weekly wound rounds
Support facility surveys, audits, and regulatory compliance initiatives
Maintain clear, compassionate communication with staff, physicians, residents, and families
Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC) setting
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
