At Legacy Mount Hood, Joint Commission certified as a Primary Stroke Center, the 29-bed emergency department, remodeled in 2010, is a leading-edge 24/7 facility that handles everything, from minor medical issues in the 8 bed Ambulatory Care Unit, to acute emergencies. Caring for 50,000 patients yearly in Portland’s east county suburbs, approximately 30% of whom are pediatric patients, the highly skilled staff treats both children and adults in a compassionate, family-friendly environment and coordinates seamlessly with Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel and Legacy Emanuel’s centers for traumatic injuries and advanced specialty care.

Responsibilities

Provides patient care within an assigned department/unit

Functions as a member of the health care team in collaboration with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee

Adheres to the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse

Performs all aspects of the nursing process

Assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care

Follows established patient care standards set by Legacy Health System, including standards for patient assessment & patient transfer.

Qualifications

Education

As required by licensure. BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO.

Experience

One-year registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration. Additional clinical experience requirements may vary dependent upon the specific department in which the position is utilized.

Skills

Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community. Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.

Licensure

Current applicable state RN license required. BLS for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association required. Pay Range: USD $54.37 - USD $81.21 /Hr. Our Commitment to Health and Equal Opportunity:
