Summary
This is a Full-time, 36 hour/week, Night shift position.
Unit Bio
Nurses in the Women and Infant Services Department provide care to patients with a wide variety of gynecological, obstetrical, and neonatal needs, all in a family-centered environment. Services range from labor and delivery, post-partum, a high functioning nursery, and post-operative care. Pen Bay Medical Center has approximately 250 births annually. Our holistic, evidence-based care model ensures the optimal experience for the patients in our rural community.
The MH Registered Nurse - Acute Care role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care. MH RN II: This level is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level includes automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I – must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred. Licensure/
Certification
Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Other certifications may be required specific to area of practice or in accordance with Department guidelines.
Experience
One year of recent RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available). Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A

The pay range for this position is $37.09 to $50.17 per hour.
