Acute Medical Staffing is urgently hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a contract assignment in Abilene, Texas.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced LPN looking for consistent contract hours in an acute rehabilitation setting.

Contract Details

Location: Abilene, TX 79606
Setting: Acute Rehabilitation
Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM -7:30 AM
Shift Length: 12 hours with scheduled meal break

Approximately 23 shifts available

Pay Rate: $40.00/hour
Employment Type: Contract / Temporary
Start: ASAP

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to patients in an acute rehabilitation setting

Administer medications and treatments as ordered

Monitor and document patient conditions and responses to care

Obtain and document vital signs

Assist with patient care planning and implementation

Communicate changes in patient condition to the RN and interdisciplinary care team

Maintain accurate clinical documentation

Follow facility policies, infection-control procedures, and patient-safety standards

Collaborate with nurses, therapists, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team

Requirements

Current, unrestricted Texas LPN/LVN license or applicable compact eligibility

Current BLS/CPR certification

Previous acute care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or similar clinical experience preferred

Current physical and required health screenings

Ability to pass required background and credentialing requirements

Reliable transportation

Ability to work 12-hour shifts

Availability for the duration of the contract preferred
