About this role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse - Recovery to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients recovering from surgical procedures or trauma. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, particularly in medication administration and IV insertion, and have experience in managing medical records. A background in ophthalmology or senior care is a plus, as is familiarity with case management systems.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall recovery progress post-surgery or trauma.
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy as per physician orders.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding recovery processes.
- Assist with the transition of patients from recovery to their respective units or home care.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Previous experience in a recovery room, trauma medicine, or surgical unit preferred.
- Familiarity with medical records systems and case management practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
