Penn Medicine is seeking a full-time RN for the Pulmonology unit, Silverstein 9 at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Silverstein 9 is a 34 bed Pulmonary Care Unit caring for patients with COPD, Interstitial Lung Disease, Cystic Fibrosis, Lung Transplant, and other advanced lung diseases. The Clinical Nurse 1 New to Practice/Apprentice is a newly licensed new-to-practice RN or RN with less than 15 months of experience that demonstrates basic safe practice within the organizational professional practice model. The nurse is accountable for direct care to patients ranging from infancy to the elderly, working within competency domains including Continuous Quality Improvement, Evidence Based Practice and Research, Leadership, Person and Family Centered Care, Professionalism, Safety, Teamwork, and Technology/Informatics. The nurse works closely with the interprofessional health care team to facilitate coordination of care across the continuum.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse - PA license
  • BLS/CPR certification as a healthcare provider per the American Heart Association
  • Registered Nurse - PA license
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science (BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing)
  • Less than 15 months of experience
