We are seeking a dedicated *Per-Diem Registered Nurse* for an opening at a Medical Center in Selma, AL. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a dynamic Emergency Department/ Emergency Room setting, managing a diverse patient population and collaborating with a skilled healthcare team.

Responsibilities

Registered nurses are expected to manage various responsibilities while delivering safe, competent, and compassionate care to diverse patient populations in settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and rehabilitation centers. More specifically, RNs should be able to:

  • Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity using established emergency nursing protocols.
  • Provide direct emergency nursing care, including medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, cardiac monitoring, and trauma response.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement timely treatment plans in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
  • Continuously monitor patient status and promptly recognize, document, and respond to changes in condition.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, discharge instructions, and follow-up care while ensuring compassionate, patient-centered care.
