Living in San Antonio

What is distinct is daily Tex-Mex, Fiesta's ten days of parades, Pearl's farmers market and Hotel Emma, and UNESCO missions along Mission Reach. Nurses should assume a car: VIA is thin, I-10/I-35/I-281/Loop 1604 clog at 4-6 p.m., and the Medical Center, Joint Base San Antonio, and Fort Sam/Randolph-area facilities sit across a sprawl. Monte Vista, Tobin Hill, and Southtown shorten the core commute; Stone Oak and Alamo Ranch buy newer homes and stronger Northside/Northeast schools; South Side and Converse stretch an $80k-$150k paycheck. Tradeoffs are triple-digit summers, doubled A/C, winter cedar fever, 2%+ property tax plus about $3,500 insurance, flood pockets, and campuses that swing from Boerne and Alamo Heights to struggling Harlandale. Heat and highway time are the price of Brackenridge Park, the greenways, and a genuinely neighborly city.
