**Location**: Forsyth Medical Center – Winston Salem, NC

Join our dynamic nursing team as a Registered Nurse on the Neurosciences Unit at Forsyth Medical Center—a 43-bed acute inpatient unit, including 4 dedicated EMU beds, within a Comprehensive Stroke Center.
This is a high-acuity, career-building environment where nurses care for complex stroke, neurological, and neurosurgical patients while sharpening advanced clinical skills every shift.

What you'll do
- Care for acute stroke & neuro patients
- Perform advanced neuro assessments
- Manage crains, drains, and high-acuity cases
- Deliver full-scope RN care in a fast-paced unit
- Collaborate with neuro & neurosurgical teams
Skills You’ll Build
- Advanced neurological assessment and rapid clinical decision-making
- Stroke recognition, intervention, and post-acute management
- Management of high-acuity neuro patients
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with neurology, neurosurgery, and specialty teams
- Time management and prioritization across diverse neurological conditions
- Confidence working in a high-acuity, career-building neuroscience unit
**What You'll Do**
Education
\- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
\- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
\- If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
Experience
One year of acute nursing experience required.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration:
\- Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
