RN - Diagnostic & Therapy Center

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to

Provide care to a variety of pediatric patients in an outpatient setting requiring day treatment therapies. Administer infusions to pediatric patients for a wide variety of conditions including, cancer, hematologic conditions, Crohn’s disease, juvenile arthritis, genetic disorders, transplant and research. Provide post-anesthesia care including phase I and phase II recovery following radiologic interventions/treatments.

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team including, proceduralists, specialty providers, APPs child life, scheduling, and radiology Set priorities adapting to changing patient and unit/clinic situations. Work in two of three care areas: day treatment therapies (e.g. infusions, transfusions), sedation for procedures as well as pre-post anesthesia care. Prefer minimum of 2 years of RN experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred

Work Experience

6 months of relevant clinical nursing experience Required Additional years of relevant clinical nursing experience Preferred Prior involvement in clinical procedures in area of specialty, including successful work or involvement in other hospital-wide project work Preferred Experience in an academic medical setting Preferred 1 year Specific to Diagnostic & Therapy Center – previous experience in chemo, sedation and/or anesthesia recovery Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months Preferred Certification in area of specialty Chemotherapy certification Preferred
