The Registered Nurse 1 delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner utilizing evidence-based standards of quality, safety, and service while ensuring population-specific patient care. Core job functions include assessing assigned patients, evaluating plans, documenting nursing care, reporting symptoms and changes in patients' condition and vital signs, modifying patient treatment plans, reviewing diagnostic tests, consulting with physicians and healthcare professionals, preparing patients for examinations and procedures, providing psychological support, administering medications, maintaining accurate records, communicating plan of care, and operating medical equipment.
