About this role

The Hospital for Extended Recovery, Sentara's 35 bed Long-Term Acute Care hospital, is recruiting a

Clinical Nurse Manager (RN) . The Clinical Nurse Manager (RN) has overall accountability for the daily operations of the nursing and telemetry teams. Supervises patient care services staff, ensures excellent patient safety and quality outcomes as well as extraordinary patient/family experience. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, developing and retaining staff with the goal of developing a highly reliable team. Demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills to achieve hospital goals.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor of Science Nursing, BSN (Required) or MSN (preferred)

Certifications/

Licensure

  • Registered Nursing License (Required)
  • BLS certification.
  • ACLS within six months of employment required.

Experience

  • 2 years experience in support leadership RN position, or other like position may be accepted in lieu of 1 year formal management experience.
  • Two years supervisory experience preferred.
