About this role
Scrubs Academy is looking to hire an RN to join our team as an instructor! CNA Instructor will serve as an advisor, trainer, educator, and evaluator and will assist and support the facility goals related to nurse aide students training and retention. Schedule would be Monday and Thursday 830am-8:30pm.
Essential job functions include completing retention tracking, recommending policy changes, researching training methods, guiding nurse aide students through testing and certification, preparing lesson plans, facilitating CNA Training Class, completing skills check off, and evaluating students. Qualifications require Minnesota RN with minimum two years licensed nursing experience, at least one year in long term care facility services, Train the Trainer certificate if required, and subject matter expertise on MN Nurse Aide training curriculum.

- Minnesota RN with a minimum of two years of licensed nursing experience in the US as evidenced by screen shot from Minnesota Board of Nursing website. At least one year in the provision of long term care facility services in the US as evidenced by licensed nursing experience resume. Examples of long term care facility services are employment in a nursing home or assisted living facility. Home health experience providing care in private homes only is not included. Total licensed nursing experience can be as a LPN but must currently be a RN. Licensed nursing experience does not include nurse aide. Train the Trainer certificate if required by chosen curriculum as identified in Approved Minnesota Nurse Aide and Training Curriculum. The CNA Instructor shall be a subject matter expert on the state of MN Nurse Aide training curriculum. The Instructor will assist in creating, revising, updating, and implementing any policies and procedures or forms and educational materials as related to CNA training class. The instructor will be responsible for the training and in-house clinicals of nurse aide students through testing and certification.
