Director of Nursing position following Puerto Rico Secretary of Health regulations for hospital construction, operation, maintenance and licensing. The nursing executive will administer the Nursing Service including developing annual work plans, establishing standards and procedures for nursing care, developing staffing patterns, setting job requirements and evaluations, recommending recruitment and retention criteria, participating in strategic planning, representing nursing service on committees, and overseeing safety, infection control, and quality evaluation activities.

Requirements

  • RN License
  • Master's degree in nursing science with administrative role from an accredited institution recognized by the Council of Higher Education of Puerto Rico
  • License as specialist nurse (enfermera(o) especialista)
  • Demonstrated competence through administration courses including planning, budget, and staffing pattern development
  • Full-time appointment
