Primary City/State: Casa Grande, Arizona. Department Name: Med/Surg-Hosp. Work Shift: Night. Job Category: Nursing. As an RN PCU Observation, you will support a 43 bed Medical Surgical department along with a 28 bed Observation department. You will also float to the Progressive Care Unit as needed. This position will work 3x12s, Night Shift (7:00PM - 7:30AM) with a weekend (every other weekend) and holiday rotation. POSITION SUMMARY: This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. Accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction. CORE FUNCTIONS include patient assessment, care plan formulation, implementation, evaluation, documentation, evidence-based practice, shared leadership, staff supervision, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Requirements

  • Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice
  • BLS certification required
  • Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice
  • Experience in the clinical area for which applying is desired
  • Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to area of work
  • Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Professional certification preferred
