Hospice CNA

_Hospice Aide (CNA) _ As a member of the Serenity Hospice Solutions Interdisciplinary Group, the Hospice aide carries out duties assigned by the nurse in order to increase the level of patient comfort, to maintain good personal hygiene and a safe and comforting environment for the patient by performing the duties as described. * Adheres to written and oral instructions for patient care as prepared by the nurse * Checks temperature of all specimen refrigerators and logs results daily. * Assists the patient with all aspects of patient care, ambulation and positioning as required. * Prepares meals and assists with feeding as required * Performs housekeeping services that are necessary for the health and safety of the patient/family/caregiver * Provides guidance to the family/caregiver regarding personal care of the patient • Attends and participates in IDG meetings, in-services, department and agency meetings and other related activities as time allows * Understands and adheres to Serenity Hospice Solutions mission policies/procedures and advocates Serenity Hospice Solutions philosophy * Demonstrates a positive attitude and working relationship with staff members and others * Maintains records of services performed and of apparent condition of patient, using documentation guidelines and standards set forth by the facility * Maintains strict confidentiality of patient/family/caregiver information * Adheres to all policies, procedures and regulations regarding patient care, conduct, safety, fire, se
