We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our nursing team within the Cardiac & Cardiothoracic Department at The Alfred Hospital. Permanent Part-time (64-72 hours per fortnight) Registered Nurse Grade 2, $70,895.16 - $101,851.58 + 11% superannuation Located at The Alfred Great staff benefits The Department Ward 3 West is a 32 bed mixed medical and surgical unit which forms part of the Alfred Heart & Lung Service. We provide acute inpatient care to patients under the Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery teams. Our dynamic unit delivers complex care to patients requiring a broad range of medical, interventional and surgical cardiac services. We also provide continuous cardiac monitoring services for patients admitted under other medical and surgical specialty teams. We work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to facilitate timely delivery of quality care to both our elective and emergency, acute and chronic illness cohort of patients. The Role As a clinical nurse your practice support excellence in patient care. You understand the importance of establishing a relationship between the patient and yourself in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for your patients. You demonstrate the core nursing values of patient centred care, trust and respect in every interaction with patients, carers and colleagues. You work confidently and collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, within a dynamic and fast-paced ward environment. You are accountable for establishing and evaluating plans of care in partnership with the patient, their carers and other members of the health care team. You are supported in your role as a clinical nurse by all other nursing positions. Qualifications & Experience Required Registered as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
