The OR Nurse functions as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room. Organizes and administers individualized, professional patient care to patients within the Operating Room. Provides nursing care in accordance with the objectives, policies, procedures and protocols of the hospital and AORN, ASPAN and SGNA standards. The Neuro Operating Room (OR) team provides highly specialized care for patients undergoing neuro and spine surgeries. Conditions treated include brain tumors, vascular malformations, essential tremors, degenerative spine disease, chronic back pain, neuro/spine trauma, spinal cord injuries, infections, hydrocephalus, and complications from acute stroke.

Requirements

Current active CT RN License
Previous OR experience required
BSN Preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire
Excellent interpersonal skills
Independent problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills
CNOR certification preferred
