American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a MSICU night shift contract requiring an active TX or compact RN license and NIH Stroke Certification.

Details

  • MSICU (Medical-Surgical ICU) unit in a hospital setting
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Rotating weekend requirement
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • No call requirements
  • Floating required per facility floating policy
  • Uses Meditech documentation system
  • Performs procedures including chest tubes, trachs, GI scopes, intubations, central lines, art lines, NG tubes, foley catheters, and dressing changes

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required; temporary licenses will not be accepted
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • NIH Stroke Certification required
  • Minimum 2-3 years of ICU experience required
  • Strong critical thinking skills required
  • MICU and MSICU background preferred
  • Meditech charting/order entry experience preferred
  • No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
  • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing services to medical-surgical ICU patients
  • Badging in and out required for each shift along with a full 30-minute lunch break
  • Punctuality required for scheduled shifts, with tardiness policies strictly enforced
  • Dress code includes navy scrub top and pants with navy or white scrub jacket for RNs
  • Grooming standards require neat and clean hair, trimmed facial hair, covered body art where feasible, and no visible piercings other than ears
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
