Specialty Post Surgical - As a nurse, you can never expect any day to be the same on this unit. We care for a wide variety of surgical patients (ortho, neurosurgery, bariatric, plastics, and colorectal, surgical oncology). We are a fast-paced environment that allows nurses to gain experience with prioritization, critical thinking, other skills not learned in nursing school, and training to become an ICU RN. Typically, patients stay for 2-4 days. It is a 32-bed unit, all private rooms. There are many opportunities for leadership training (charge nurse) and participation on unit-based committees.

BSN Pay Range: $36.05 - $59.92 per hour ADN Pay Range: $32.90 - $57.06 per hour Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
